Daily I am confronted with this heart cry for faith. The one in despondence seeks to find someone who can believe for him. He cannot believe for himself, and yet he has every privilege and every right in the family of God.
He knows that he is a child of God and yet the sense of unworthiness binds him with cords stronger than if they had been welded of steel.
The sick who can find no remedy in Sense Knowledge where the devices of sciences and Sense Knowledge have utterly failed and can give them no hope, turn to a God whom they have denied and forsaken for the arm of flesh, but they find in themselves no ability to approach Him.
If they knew their rights they would ask His forgiveness, knowing that when He forgives, He forgets. It is wiped out as though it had never been. That would give them confidence and gentle, quiet assurance.
Isaiah 32:17, “And the work of Righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of Righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.” This is a prophecy of the Righteousness that has come to us in Redemption.
The moment you were Born Again, you came into His family and were given rights and privileges in that family. You know that the Father hath declared us Righteous with His own nature and that He, Himself, had become our Righteousness (II Cor. 5:21.) Do you see the quietness that would bring to the heart?
“The work of Righteousness shall be peace.” There is no more turmoil, no more fear, no more doubts–just holy calmness. The effect of this Righteousness is His quietness and confidence forever.
That is faith in its highest realm, its fullest development.
You remember that He has forgiven you. What He forgives He forgets. That is something God can do. The more we partake of the love nature of the Father, the easier it becomes to forgive and forget. We become like Him. What we forgive we lose memory of.
The harrassed parents, whose hearts are broken over their children, cry for faith. They want faith in their children. They try so hard to believe that their children will yet turn out well.
They want to believe that God will break the power that holds the children and save them—-and it is such a hard thing to find faith. The reason lies in the same place. We do not believe that we are the Righteousness of God. We have mentally assented to it, but to take our place as the Righteousness of God means to take the place of victory over circumstances and victory over enemies.
It is to know that in all these things we are independent and masters, overcomers.
We know that we can do all things in Him who is our enabling ability and strength. We know it just as well as we know when we have money in the bank, we can write a check for it. We know that He is the strength of our life. He is our Father. We rest in Him in the quietness that has no fear or anxiety.
You who walk with Him know that you are His Righteousness. He is your sponsor. It is He who wrought in Christ our perfect Redemption. It is He who has recreated us and given us His nature.
The businessman who hopes against hope and yet sees his business failing in his hands, should then resolutely turn to the Lord. You can call His attention to the fact that He is your partner. You and He are working together.
He has His share in the business. He has His portion. You know that He is your Righteousness. You know that He is your redemption. He is your supply for every need. You know that He has been made unto you wisdom. You take advantage of it in your crisis.
You face the future, a victor in your heart. That very thing will attract people to you. We do not like to go to a man who is whipped and defeated.
You pull success right out of that wreckage of defeat. This is yours today. You are not whipped. You are not defeated. Your cry for faith has turned into a cry of thanksgiving and faith.
Men have been discouraged everywhere. The little faith that they have has been paralyzed. My ministry is to revive this dying faith. It is to build faith in Him who loved us and gave Himself for us, faith in His Word, faith in humanity.
Humanity is just as good as it ever was–the same old heart, the same old human. The New Creation is just as true and beautiful as it has ever been.
You must have faith in yourself and your standing with the Father. You must have faith in Him as your Righteousness, faith in your response to His love.
As you stand quiet with this assurance, life becomes a settled, fixed, beautiful victory.
Yes, it is. Thanks for sharing.
Perfect Words of love and encouragement! Thank you💕

thank you for this great piece from Kenyon. Appreciated. It is so important to monitor each thought we have so that we learn to replace fear resulting in anxiety with the true winner’s attitude for believers, ie, the knowledge that God IS for us and that He is our partner who is our strength and that He WILL work all things together for good for those who love Him, even if it doesn’t feel like it
What a heartfelt piece! It reflects the loving heart of our Father calling us to let him work things out for us. And the reference to self-condemnation–boy did he hit the nail on the head here! What a trick to keep us from claiming our position in Christ. We are not condemned!
This beautiful piece by Kenyon reads and flows like poetry, like fountains of living waters to a thirsty soul. Thank you for including it in your newsletter.
