This fascinating phrase, “the word of his grace”, appears twice in the book of Acts and nowhere else. I came across it again recently.
Here are the two occurrences: “Therefore they stayed there In the first usage, Paul and Barnabas had been shown the door in Antioch, so they moved on to Iconium, where the Lord “was bearing witness to the word of his grace” and the witness was in “signs and wonders to be done by their [the apostle’s] hands.” This verse is an inconvenience to churches who preach grace but deny signs and wonders. Where grace is taught, God backs it up and good things occur in people’s lives. The results were called signs to show that God wanted everyone to know He approved of what was being taught, and wonders because the healings and deliverances were outside of the normal human experience. The second usage in Acts 20:32 is powerful, as it shows that grace, when believed, has power “to build up” the believer. To build up here means to establish, to make firm, to confirm to the believer. We can never hear too much teaching on grace. Those who have seen the greatness of His favor and enjoy the benefits delight to hear the teaching time and time again. Grace also emphasizes and solidifies in our minds the inheritance that belongs to all who are set apart unto God. “And give the enjoyment of an allotment among all who have been hallowed” (Concordant). “The word of his grace” is “the gospel of the grace of God” and I am thankful for the health and strength to share it around the world for His glory.
I love this, Peter. Blessings. God’s desire is to build us up in Christ. The Word of His Grace – the divine influence of Christ (His death, burial and resurrection) upon our hearts does just that and brings fruit or evidence in our lives. It is only what Jesus has done, period! We just much hear this WORD and walk in it!
Blessings!

Amazing, I’m so blessed reading your explanation. It just clicked without argument.
What a blessing!
Thank you Pastor Sir.
More wins.
Thank you Peter. Last night the phrase “word of his grace” continued to well up on my heart. and I tried to figure out the exact meaning. So this morning I searched the web. Lo and behold I found the phrase just as it appeared to me, and I saw and read your explanation. I am grateful for I now know better. I agree with you that where “the word of his grace” is preached, believed, and practiced, there must be signs and wonders and building up of the believers.
Thank you for the light you have thrown on the word of his grace

Exactly, what it is. Grace or word of grace generates signs and wonders. If the grace ‘ministers’ don’t have practical testimonies of the awesome power that is in the word of his grace, then something is definitely wrong.
Blessings, man of God.
It’s a privilege discovering your site today.
Thank you, Pastor Paul. It’s a blessing to know our site resonated with you. We’ve got a great, big, wonderful God. And His grace is to the full, it is radical, it meets our every need. Glory! — Peter Wade
What a blessing!
can you give me a list of christian teachers that are teaching grace in a good way? The grace movement is being criticized for promoting licentiousness. the critics say that the grace movement is causing people to sin and to live a sinful lifestyle. I think is the oppossite, Law preaching causes people in the long run to sin more!
I agree with you, Rafael, grace is certainly under attack by the misinformed. My personal favorites are Andrew Wommack, who I watch every day, and Joseph Prince… both on Christian TV channels, cable, etc. and websites. Blessings!
Brief & beefy ( if you are not a vegan) so to speak. Straightforward and something to activate/apply in life. Thanks Peter & Vivien. Regards Ross.
Wonderful stuff, Peter! I have been chewing on “my grace is sufficient” since that came out, and even today I was meditating on why it was sufficient for Paul when he was in the soup. It is not a flimsy thing that you can fall from when you sin, this grace is solid enough to stand on—to give support! Yes, it is one of things that you just seem to enjoy every time you hear, and then you hear it again and wonder how you could have missed the greatness of it before.
I also liked the “man below the fold”! Nice screen, and of course, it’s a terrific seminar that I have enjoyed many times.
Wow! Such an inspiration Great Man of God. I got in contact with this site some weeks ago and it’s been so amazing reading your posts. They’re awesome and I know I’m going to do more as I constantly meditate upon your posts. They’re Spiritually inspired, thank you so much!
God Bless You!
