About Peter Wade

Peter and Vivien Wade have ministered the Word of God together in pastorates, seminars, and family camps for nearly 60 years and have maintained a web site since 1995. Peter has authored numerous books and ebooks, which are noted for their simplicity and ease of reading even though the subjects can be profound. His writings, videos and audio teachings appear on this site, as does the Wade’s history. Vivien has two paperback collections of poems available, one Christian and the other humorous.

“He ain’t never done me nothin’ but good”

The title comes from the chorus of Dottie Rambo's song, recorded by numerous artists over the years. The "He" refers to God and the first verse recounts the story of Job, the second the author's life as a Christian, and [...]

Christ in You

A faith that merely says "Christ died" is little or nothing. A faith that says "Christ died for me" (and says nothing more) is good, but still embraces only part of the Truth, and so will keep life in the [...]

Book titles can be great triggers to get the thought processes going. Last week in a bookstore I saw this title and smiled: "The Last Decision You'll Ever Make: A Groom's Survival Guide." See what I mean? Its "a laugh-a-minute [...]

The Resurrection: Gravity Upward

Two things stand out very clearly about Jesus' resurrection. It was not expected by these followers, but received at first with incredulity and doubt and stubborn unwillingness to accept it without clear indisputable proof. And then that they were thoroughly [...]

The word of his grace

This fascinating phrase, "the word of his grace", appears twice in the book of Acts and nowhere else. I came across it again recently. Here are the two occurrences: "Therefore they stayed there [at Iconium] a long time, speaking boldly [...]

A search on ChristianBook.com for books on "destiny" yielded 1,122 results! One definition for the word I found online was "something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune." It is now [...]

"Make your tents larger! Spread out the tent pegs; fasten them firmly" (Isaiah 54:2 CEV). "Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep" (Message [...]

Christ Is Enough, period

In his review of Phillip Cary's book Good News for Anxious Christians in Christianity Today (December 2010), Christopher Benson writes: "How do we follow the commandment to not be anxious about anything" (Phil. 4:6)? The gospel, Cary argues, gives us [...]
